SANBI hosts 2017 Southern African bats Conference

Southern African bats

South Africa National Biodiversity Institute will be hosting the Southern African Bat Conference at the Centre for Biodiversity Conservation Building, Kirstenbosch Garden, from 4 to 6 October 2017.

The conference aims to bring together researchers, students, ecological consultants, bat groups and statutory and non-statutory organisations.

The first day is dedicated to the topic of bats and wind energy, and the next two days will be will be a combination of talks and workshops on other more general bat conservation, ecological and evolutionary topics.
